The Ubiquitous Systems (UbiSys) research lab, led by Dr. Suchetana Chakraborty, focuses on many areas of ubiquitous computing including novel user interface technology, health sensing, activity recognition, low-power sensing, and energy sensing by applying expertise in sensing, signal processing, embedded systems, circuits, and human-computer interaction.
The UbiSys lab consists of an interdisciplinary team of investigators that tackle challenging research problems both from building the enabling hardware and software systems to the deployment and evaluation of these technologies in real-world settings, especially around health. We collaborate very closely with IIT Professors in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and the Interdisciplinary department at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. In addition, we have close collaborations with many other institutions such as UMBC, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur Since December 2020. My research interests are broadly in the domains of Ubiquitous Computing, IoT and Edge Computing, Wireless sensor and mobile ad hoc networks, Distributed Systems and Smart city applications. To know more about the work, please explore this page. I am one of the founding members of UbiSys Research Group, in the department and actively involved in interdisciplinary research through IDRP - Smart Healthcare, IDRP - IoT & Applications and Centre of Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development (CETSD). Currently, I am working as an Area Editor of Ad Hoc Networks journal, Elsevier. Also I am involved in organizing many conferences including IEEE ANTS 2021 (as Tutorial Co-chair), IEEE LCN 2021, 2022, 2023 (as TPC member), COMSNETS 2022, 2023 (as TPC member), ICDCN 2023 (as Workshop Co-chair) to name a few.
